That Glimpse of You (Quatrains)

Oh Spanish eyes how I would love to meet
Upon a moment between steps tonight
In silence from those thin sweet lips you touched
Breathing within the minute we match sight

Hoping do I wish while present for you
Catching that blur cascading luminous
Around yourself, like halos before saints
Something divine, something like you, and thus

I fall short from you as you are to me
Though you may not know yet, as we have yet
To be... Your admirer am I today
As fate had me find you just to forget

I would demand another chance for us
But you passed right through me without a hint
Cursing me with this whif of bliss forgone
And you with your day, without a hint

Did you see me at all or did you try--
To forget me too?
